Don Darrow, Project Manager
For Don Darrow, construction runs in the family. Boshaw Residential’s lead Project Manager says he began his career in the home building industry at the age of five, right next to his dad. “It’s in my blood,” Don adds.
His experience includes an impressive range of projects including upscale hotels, banks and other residential communities. He was just 18 years old when he became a project manager for D. L. Sweeny. Don then launched his own business, working on new homes and remodels. He also owned a custom kitchen company, managing multiple aspects such as sales, operations and accounting. Previously he dabbled in the insurance business. The Bluffton area caught Don’s eye when he met Ron and the Boshaw Residential team…and the rest is history.
Don enjoys family time with his lovely wife and three active kids. So far two of his children share his love of baseball. The entire family participates in sports and they can’t get enough of the lowcountry outdoors. When he’s not on the job, Don likes to fish, hunt and play golf. He’s also a devoted baseball coach and occasionally calls the plays in the kitchen, where he’s prepared some impressive dishes!
Laurie Sundberg, Design Coordinator
A native of the western suburbs of Chicago, Laurie Sundberg headed south to Atlanta shortly after graduating from the Southern Illinois University. She worked a number of years in real estate, design and renovation, then started her own company, focusing on the purposeful design of space. She called her innovative venture “Regeneration: Living by Design.”
Fast forward to 2015 when Laurie and her husband, Jack, decided to relocate to the Lowcountry. They purchased a lot in the Stock Farm development of historic downtown Bluffton and then searched for the right home builder. After several interviews, it was clear that Ron Boshaw won the honors. “Plus he understood my humor,” Laurie says. When their home was completed, Ron approached Laurie to join the team as Design Coordinator. She was positive it was the right fit.
Laurie’s the mother of two grown daughters and recently became a grandmother to the joy of her life, precious Alexander! She reports Jack is happily pursuing his passion composing music and playing the saxophone with his quartet. Laurie’s leisure time is generally spent watercolor painting, biking, working out, and walking at the beach.
